Edgard Bressani is directly involved with the commercialization of coffees from the partners' estates, microlots, special projects, and works coffee in every way at the company, exploring its educational side by means of the Brazilian Academy of Coffee, as well as an International Internship Project for foreign students and Brazilian coffee lovers who look for an immersion in coffee at origin.
He also helps his partners with all existing projects and promotes the company and its coffees worldwide, making use not only of his huge network, one of the biggest assets of his career, but also of his vast international experience. He conducts innumerous interesting projects in several different fronts at Capricornio Coffees.

Edgard Bressani, 47 years old, was born in the state of Sao Paulo, in Ribeirao Preto, has a degree in Law, Business, Marketing and Journalism, studied to be a diplomat and became a true “ambassador" of Brazilian Specialty Coffee, and spends around 150 days a year abroad, selling coffees, promoting farms, holding cupping sessions for clients and prospects and doing presentations and seminars at events in Europe, Asia, Middle East and in the USA.
He is a certified Q-Grader by SCAA and a Coffeologist by Coffee Consulate, Mannheim, Germany, was Vice-president of BSCA - Brazil Specialty Coffee Association. From 2000 to 2004 he ran the Cafés do Brasil Marketing Program for the Promotion of Specialty Coffees conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture. He was also the Executive Director of Brazil Specialty Coffee Association (BSCA), a member of the International Relations Council of the SCAA and the Brazilian National Chapter Coordinator for the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE). From 2004–2007, he participated at WBC Competitions as a Certified Judge. In 2006, Bressani worked for P&A International Marketing, as consultant, and was involved in programs in partnership with the ICO to increase coffee consumption in producing countries and well as in the Center of Coffee Intelligence in his country. In 2007 he was invited to work for Ipanema Coffees in charge of New Business Development, Marketing and Institutional Relations. He has also been an active volunteer of the World Coffee Events, served on WBC; Rules and Regulations Committee, WBC’s Training Committee and WBC’s National Support Committee. He has been involved with the organization of the barista competitions in Brazil since 2002, was the President of the Brazil Coffee and Barista Association (ACBB) from 2008-2012, President of Brazil Coffee Origins Association, author of the book “The Barista Guide” (fourth edition), and orchestrator of the web-based Barista Community at Peabirus (Brazil). Bressani was also a WCE Board Member appointed by SCAA (2012-2014). Bressani was in 2015 BSCA Vice-President and is currently a board member. He is also a board member for AMSC - Alta Mogiana Specialty Coffee Association.
